Some of our treatments are simply massage We also offer add-on therapies such as aromatherapy that can take your treatment to the next level.
Swedish Massage
Swedish massage is the perfect place to start. Long gliding strokes are used to provide relaxation, relieve tension, and improve circulation. All our therapists practice this technique.
Deep Tissue Massage
In deep tissue massage, we use the same strokes as traditional therapy, but we focus on a very specific area, work slower, and apply deeper pressure. By targeting knots and areas of tension or pain, we’re able to realign deeper layers of muscle and tissue and relieve chronic muscle tension. All our therapists practice this technique.
Myofascial Release
This is a type of soft tissue therapy that is used to treat skeletal muscle immobility and pain. Here, we seek to relax contracted muscles and to improve circulation throughout the body. Julie and Tavia practice this technique.
Shiatsu
Shiatsu is a Japanese form of bodywork based in Traditional Chinese Medicine and is practiced by applying kneading and pressing techniques, range of motion exercises, assisted stretching and taping are also used. It traditionally is done over loose comfortable clothing. Shiatsu is a great way to address anxiety, stress, and muscle tension. After a treatment the client will feel overall a sense of calmness, well-being and balanced energy.
Cupping Therapy
Cupping therapy is a soothing and time-honored practice in Traditional Chinese Medicine, designed to promote relaxation and well-being. During a session, a practitioner gently places special cups on your skin, creating a light suction that encourages circulation and eases muscle tension. The cups, made of glass or plastic, use either heat or suction to draw the skin and muscles upward, allowing energy and blood to flow freely.
Trigger Point Therapy
A “trigger point” is a specific site of muscle tension that causes pain in other parts of your body. A trigger point in your neck, for example, may be causing headaches. Trigger point therapy places pressure on that trigger point, working at the source of the pain to bring relief to the whole body. In this method, we apply pressure with fingers, knuckles, and elbows to relax the muscles and alleviate pain. All our therapists practice this technique.
Hot Stone
Your therapist will place heated, smooth stones on key points of your body. Heat from these stones can be both deeply relaxing and help warm up tight muscles so that your therapist can work more deeply. We do this on your back only for no additional charge. All our therapists practice this technique.
Craniosacral Therapy
Craniosacral therapy (CST) is a soothing, hands-on healing practice that uses gentle touch to restore balance and harmony within the body. Skilled practitioners apply light, nurturing contact to the bones, soft tissues, cerebrospinal fluid, and fascia that surround and support the central nervous system. This delicate system, known as the craniosacral system, plays a vital role in overall well-being, and by softly guiding it back into alignment, CST helps release tension, ease discomfort, and promote deep relaxation.
Prenatal Massage
Studies show that prenatal massage can reduce anxiety, decrease symptoms of depression, relieve aches and pains, and even positively affect labor and the health of your new baby. We’ll make sure you see a therapist who is specially trained and certified in prenatal massage.
Neuromuscular Massage
Neuromuscular massage therapy is a deeply restorative form of bodywork designed to relieve tension, restore balance, and promote overall well-being. This specialized technique gently but effectively releases areas of muscular strain, known as trigger points—small, tender knots where tight, contracted tissue restricts blood flow and essential nutrients. As a result, the muscle struggles to relax, often leading to discomfort, fatigue, and weakness.
By addressing these sensitive areas, neuromuscular massage therapy helps to ease muscular pain and reduce referral pain—sensations of aching, tingling, or numbness that may radiate to other parts of the body. Using precise, sustained pressure applied with the fingers, knuckles, or elbow, this therapy encourages the release of deep-seated tension. Each point is held with mindful intent for 10 to 30 seconds, allowing the muscle to soften and restore its natural state of ease.
Through this therapeutic approach, the body is gently guided toward relief and rejuvenation, helping to enhance mobility, alleviate chronic discomfort, and restore a sense of harmony within.
